Tea Room

Seasonal home cooking

Dine in the company of kings! Under the gaze of royal portraits and Kiplins ancestors feast in our atmospheric Tea Room using the quaint mismatched china so adored by Bridget Talbot, Kiplin’s last family owner. Visitors can enjoy flavourful soups, filling sandwiches, summer salads, and freshly baked scones and cakes straight from the Kiplin kitchen. Our food is made to order and specials change daily so always check the board for seasonal treats. In the summer months our crisp salad bowls and smooth ice cream are a popular choice. While the soups and scones offer a warming treat on wintery days. Produce from the walled garden is used in the kitchen whenever possible. It’s more a case of ‘food yards’ than ‘food miles’ here! (Lunch menu served until 3:00pm, last orders 3:30pm)

Outdoor dining – Kiplin boasts stunning views from picnic tables on the lawns around the hall and more secluded picnic spots can be discovered across the parkland. Simply order your food and drinks to ‘take away’ and they will be served in compostable cups or packaging, ready for your picnic. During the summer we offer a takeaway service from a converted horse box – the tea trailer – located to the right of the hall.
