Are you part of the Kiplin Hall Family? Are you related to one of the four historic families who’ve owned Kiplin Hall, or a person in domestic service at the hall or estate in the last 400 years? If so, you can visit for free during our Family Reunion weekend.
Calling all Calverts, Crowes, Carpenters and Talbots, and those with family ties to Kiplin. If your ancestor lived or worked at Kiplin Hall we’d like to invite you to visit for free during our Family Reunion weekend celebrating 400 years of Kiplin Hall.
During your visit you’ll be able to sign our Family Reunion Book, learn more about the future of Kiplin Hall and ways you can get involved.
To gain free entry you do not need to bring any proof, we are operating on trust. During your visit a member of our team will happily hear about your ties to Kiplin and may record some of your information if you are willing. (This is not a requirement for free entry.)
You may be a descendant of George Calvert, the first owner of Kiplin Hall in 1625, or the great grandchild of a house maid in domestic service at Kiplin Hall in the 19th or 20th century. Whatever your link to Kiplin Hall, please join us to celebrate.
During the weekend the museum, gardens, café and visitor centre will be open as normal for you to explore.
(Please note free day entry is offered per person to individuals with a family link to Kiplin Hall’s past residents or staff. Valid only on 4th or 5th October 2025. Proof of ancestry is NOT required; we are operating on trust. Please do not bring original important documents with you. We’d be glad to see copies of documents or photographs if you’d like to show them to us. We are not currently collecting new items for the museum. We may ask to take your contact details for future reference, but you do not have to give them. This offer does not affect individuals with valid memberships to Kiplin Hall and Gardens, free day entry already applies. Thank you for your support.)
