The Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust is an environmental charity, which cares for the rivers of the Yorkshire Dales. They manage projects working with farmers, landowners and communities to improve our rivers and help reduce flooding through working with natural processes.
Their Rivers2U van is a mobile classroom which visits community events and schools to teach about rivers and wildlife, and it’s visiting Kiplin this summer on Tuesday 8th and 15th August.
There will be a pond dipping sessions and a lakeside ‘walk and talk’ each day, when we will be investigating what wonderful wildlife is living in the pond at Kiplin. Numbers are limited for the pond dipping, bookable at the Rivers2U van on the day of the event. All equipment will be provided.
Pond dipping session bookable on the day, first come first served, 11.00am – 11.45am.
Lakeside walk and talk bookable on the day, first come first served 2:00pm – 2.45pm.
During these times the van will be closed.
