We are delighted to be partnering with silentspace.org.uk and have established a place for quiet reflection in the grounds of Kiplin Hall.

The Silent Space at Kiplin Hall and Gardens is located near the main entrance to the historic house. Visitors enjoy a short walk from the Visitor Centre, following the red brick wall of the large Walled Garden. The path sweeps towards the 400 year old Hall, passing borders full of seasonal blooms. Before reaching the entrance to the Hall visitors turn left under the laburnum arch, splendid and glowing yellow during the month of May. The path leads the eye towards the woodland. Before reaching the woodland gate the Silent Space offers visitors the perfect place to pause. A historic conservatory frame entwined with vines offers a sheltered spot, backed by the warm red brick wall. Seating is positioned with views inwards towards the centre of the space and a reflective pool in an urn, or outward towards the parkland and lime tree avenue. The seating is surrounded by delicate alpine planting between the paving. Simple signage identifies the Silent Space, offering unique moments of tranquility and calm surrounded by nature in this historic setting.
